Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome Fundraiser

I haven't done much fundraising for Shwachman-Diamond America this past year, so I've decided to donate all the proceeds from sales through my Stampin up! website from now through Christmas to Shwachman-Diamond America. Shwachman-Diamond America has done great things this year. SDA supported the North American Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome Registry whose website went live this year, they supported Camp Sunshine with a small donation, paid expenses for Dr. Harris to present grand rounds at Wake Forest, just approved an $8,000 USD research grant and approved a minimum of $8,000 USD to support the Sixth International Congress on Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome in NYC next year.

SDA would love to donate more to the Congress, but in order to do that, SDA needs to raise more money.

I took photos of flowers and herbs in my own yard..... then transformed them into beautiful notecards. It is easy to make greeting cards from your own photos! I love the purple coneflowers growing in my yard and the lavender!

I have been having lots of fun now that I became a Stampin Up! Demonstrator. I've had several classes and they have been great. I am trying to earn some extra money to help with medical bills. Stamping has always been therapy for me, but now it will hopefully help pay some bills! ~smile~

Having two boys with Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome and Mitochondrial disease, we spend a lot of time in the hospital and traveling to hospitals. God always provides and he is always good. Here's another card share for today:

Breast Cancer Research Foundation of the Triad

Every year, my friend has a fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of the Triad--they give money to Wake Forest and Forsyth for breast cancer research and have raised several hundred thousand dollars in the last few years... I made these cards (and have been making cards for few weeks) to donate to the fundraiser.... I got out the sewing machine today! I think these are really fun cards! They look a lot better in *person*....not sure if the stitching shows up with the flash..click on the picture to view a close up/full size picture (you can REALLY see the stitching then!).
